Heather is all about art.

In her professional life, she’s been a designer for over 25 years, starting as a junior designer at a Boston design firm, cutting her teeth on accounts like Ocean Spray, Gillette and PaperMate.

Upon returning to Denver, Heather spent well over 10 years as a senior designer, at Lee Reedy Creative, one of Denver’s elite design studios. Designing and producing everything from two-color postcards to six-color packaging.

For the past 10 years, Heather has operated her own design studio, handling work for such clients as Hunter Douglas, Kaiser Permanente, Outward Bound, Oralabs and Delta Dental of Colorado. Her work has been honored by Print, the Art Directors Club of Denver, and is included in “The Best of Brochure Design 3, 5 and ‘The Best of The Best – Brochure Design” by Rockport Publishers.

FINE ARTIST

Heather comes from a long line of artists. Most of her aunts were artists, including her Great Aunt Lois Bartlett Tracy who’s painting “Textural space” is part of the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In addition to Heather’s formal training at CIA, she studied fine art with Aunt Lois at the art community called Artist Acres. Working mostly in acrylics, Heather has had seven shows of her own, and was a featured artist at the Kevin Saehlenou Gallery in North Denver.

And sometimes her painting shows up as whimsical illustration in her design work. Because, when you’re an artist and a designer, sometimes it’s hard to separate the two.
